Four Years of Writestream Radio

Four Years of Writestream Radio

Thanks to LinkedIn, I received a reminder that Writestream Radio is now  four years old. Between out-of-state visitors and Writestream Publishing projects, I’d forgotten all about it. It’s hard to believe, but at the time I was freelancing as a ghostwriter, copywriter, content writer and blogger. I thought an internet radio network would help my clients (and other authors) become more comfortable with discussing their books.

After publishing the first edition of Water Signs in 2008, I soon discovered that people were as interested in me as they were in my novel — which surprised me a little. That’s when I realized how critical it was for indie authors to put themselves out there in cyberspace and real life. Having spent the previous four years co-hosting a political show, I saw firsthand the power of internet radio to connect authors with their audience. And since many authors I knew had an aversion to public speaking, it also provided a non-threatening forum to discuss their work since it’s off-camera. (Ah, the days before Facebook Live 😉 ).

With that in mind, I contacted Lisa Tarves and John Gresham to ask if they wanted their own shows on the network. After they happily accepted, we began airing the Sunday of the first week of March 2013 with Just Believe with Lisa Tarves.

Sadly, our friend John Gresham passed away in July of 2016, but his memory and voice live on in the form of multiple excellent Military Monday broadcasts, which can be accessed on our Blog Talk Radio Show Page.

Today, our network broadcasts a variety of unique, uplifting, and informative programming:

Just Believe with Ilene Gottlieb ~ The Heart Healer

The Mentor In Me on Writestream Radio

Create Your Life with Tasha Chen

Partners in Crime with Sue Coletta and Kimberly McGath

The Formula with Jefferson Keith Langley

Love Liberty & Lip Gloss with Donna Lyons

Speculative Fiction Cantina with S. Evan Townsend

Get Fit Feel Fabulous with Britt

After a several month hiatus, I’ll be back to weekly hosting on Wednesdays at 11 AM Eastern, beginning on April 5 with The Writestream with Daria Anne. Write. Publish. Succeed. And soon, Kris Kees will be hosting a weekly money/finance program, Kees to Invest. I’ll post more details as we get closer to his debut.

Thank you to all of our exceptional hosts and listeners. We appreciate you and look forward to many more years of top-notch broadcasting!

Happy Thanksgiving from Writestream Publishing and Writestream Radio

Happy Thanksgiving from Writestream Publishing and Writestream Radio!

Wow, are we really at the end of 2016 already? It’s been a great year of growth personally and professionally, between my participation in Tasha Chen’s Science of Getting Rich Academy and my work as co-owner of Writestream Publishing and Writestream Radio.

Learning to be and live in the Certain Way has been a blessing. If you haven’t read The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles or watched any of the videos on Tasha Chen’s You Tube Channel, I highly recommend both.  Among many other gifts, this course, along with Tasha’s outstanding one-on-one coaching, has led me to develop important, mutually beneficial business relationships.

Being a believer in “relationship marketing”, Wattles’ concept of being “a creative center, through which increase is given to all” resonates well with me. My favorite way to attract new clients and projects is through engagement with talented, influential people of integrity. I’m thankful that this past year has been successful in that regard. I love being part of Tasha’s community as well as the one we’ve created via our efforts on behalf of Writestream Publishing and Writestream Radio.

I’m also thankful to Radnor Studio 21 host John Ricciutti for his unwavering support. He interviewed Lisa and me back in 2015 when we were just getting started, then invited us back twice in 2016. He’s an excellent interviewer who asks relevant questions and allows his guests to complete their answers — which makes his show informative and entertaining.

As noted in my blog post at Writestream Publishing:

createyourlife_logo1_white-2In 2016, we released the following books.

Additionally, we will be releasing The Mentor In Me by William Todd in the coming weeks. With a Foreword and handwritten notes by Bob Proctor, it is sure to be a mega success and inspire millions of readers around the world!

Two other books, Driven Soul and Mind Your Chatter: Mind Tools to Survive and Thrive in an Unpredictable World are set for release in early 2017, along with two compelling fictional novels.

It’s definitely a dance, maintaining the right balance between working in your business and working on your business, but one I wouldn’t trade for anything. I’m grateful to my family, friends, clients, colleagues, and biz partner Lisa for their trust and confidence in my abilities and look forward to even bigger and better achievements in 2016.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

We’ve added a new program to our Writestream Radio line-up: Partners in Crime, co-hosted Kimberly McGath and Sue Coletta!

wt_coldcase

Do you love true crime stories? Crime fiction? Are you an author of a crime fiction novel with murder in your plot? You’ll definitely want to tune in to Partners in Crime on the Writestream Radio Network, the third Tuesday of every month. During the first hour, Kimberly and Sue will discuss true crime; in the second hour, they’ll talk about crime fiction. They’ll even answer writers’ questions, just like they do on their Twitter chat, #ACrimeChat. You can participate in #ACrimeChat on Twitter every other Wednesday at 3 PM Eastern.

Award-winning crime fiction author Sue Coletta.

Partners in Crime debuts on Writestream Radio Network on Tuesday, October 18 at 1 PM Eastern. Stay tuned for details.

Listeners of my show will recognize Kimberly’s name from her two appearances. On September 20, she joined me to discuss her latest book, Let Them See.  On April 19, we talked about Zodiac: Settling the Score. When I decided to seek out guest hosts to add some diversity of topics to the network, I naturally thought of Kimberly. We didn’t have a show show dedicated to true crime and crime fiction; therefore I wanted to correct that ASAP. With her engaging personality, and extensive experience and knowledge, Kimberly was the obvious choice. I’m delighted that with the addition of Partners in Crime, not only do we get Kimberly as a host, but also the acclaimed author Sue Coletta. We’re excited about serving a new audience and expanding our listener base.

Aside from talking crime and sharing tips for crime authors, this dynamic duo will even throw in a crime puzzle or two. Be the first to call in with the correct answer and win a prize. As always, the call-in number is (347) 945-7246 and the chat room will be open for your participation.

In the meantime, visit KimberlyMcGath.com and SueColetta.com for more information about these multi-talented ladies. I’m thrilled to welcome them to the Writestream family and look forward to listening to their show on the third Tuesday of the month!
