My niece arrived in Bologna, Italy for a study program the other day, just in time to experience this fatal earthquake. Thankfully, she and her classmates are just fine, but much of northern Italy has sustained serious damage and four people have been killed.
So sad to see the severe damage to so many ancient, historic buildings that can never be replaced. Let’s hope there are no aftershocks.
