Loving Brevard County
Still settling in to my new Sunshine State home on the Space Coast, which has been a bit hectic but wonderful. As I posted on my Facebook Author Page, I attended mass for the second time at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic – and once again I was thoroughly impressed by the beauty of the actual church and campus; the friendly congregants; the excellent, energetic and well-prepared priests; and the lovely music and choir. Unlike most churches up north these days (at least the one my parents attend), the service was engaging, interesting, relevant and timely. I walked out of there feeling inspired, renewed and ready to fulfill God’s purpose for my life. I actually can’t wait to attend mass again next Sunday, which is a welcome feeling for sure!
Later that afternoon, I went out with Chuck and Marilyn to meet up with an FB (and now real-life) friend, who introduced us to a few of his good friends. Over an enthusiastic conversation over dinner at Pane e Vino, we talked about our plans for The Peoples Vote.com. There are plenty of great things in store, which I am blogging about at the TPV blog including our first debate on Wednesday, August 22 at 8 p.m. Eastern.
We also saw the fabulous documentary Obama’s America 2016, which I highly recommend. Diligently researched, sourced and put together, this film revealed a few things even a political junkie like me did not know about the USA’s current president. Needless to say, its powerful ending filled me with an even greater sense of urgency to vote Obama out in November and solidified my “ABO” resolve. No, Romney wasn’t my first choice….he wasn’t even close to my preference, just one step above jihad-denier Ron Paul. While I like Paul Ryan, there are portions of his voting record that bother me, such as his support for TARP. But I will happily vote for both in November and continue to hold them accountable versus put the final nail in the American Republic’s coffin by staying home and giving Obama four more years to achieve his final destruction of the greatest country on earth.
As my friends and I noted last night, taking back the USA is a bottom-up approach, not a top-down approach. And I am proud to be associated with a company that’s helping to facilitate that bottom-up approach.
