Five Favorite Hallmark Christmas Movies

This was a tough list to compile because I tend to love all of the Christmas movies Hallmark presents every year. Sure, they can be a little too cute and maybe more than a little corny, but that’s part of their charm and appeal. In a society filled with violence, evil and raunchiness, it’s nice to take a break from reality and indulge in a little escapism, Hallmark style:

1. Holiday Engagement:

2. Christmas with Holly

3. Moonlight and Mistletoe

4. A Grandpa for Christmas

5. The Christmas Card

Bonus: In a departure from the typically merry fare, this year Hallmark came out with a serious yet ultimately uplifting tale of tragedy, death, birth and new beginnings with the film The Christmas Heart, starring Teri Polo as the mother of a teenage son in desperate need of a heart transplant, and Tess Harper as the mother of a young man whose untimely death makes a miracle possible.

Merry Christmas!
